The analysis focuses on the global food system and intensive livestock farming, addressing issues such as antibiotic overuse, health risks, social inequalities, and ecological unsustainability. The chapter advocates for an interdisciplinary perspective in which sociological insights contribute to the development of more equitable, sustainable, and health-promoting food systems.
