The paper aims at analysing the complex relations between knowledge management and project management on an empirical case in healthcare system: the effective goal is to find and underline the approach and the practical methods used by the project teams to maximize the level of knowledge and the way in which it is plugged in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) in two selected Italian hospitals. First, the research analyzes the main references about knowledge management and project management; then, it shows the job research, based on interviews and questionnaires given to the key professionals involved in the project. This research paper, throughout a mixed quali-quantitative analysis, aims at gaining the different advantages given from the two perspectives: the focalized interviews and the survey administering are meant to obtain useful information about the real operation of EMR project teams.
