Twelve adult patients with high grade lumbar and lumbo-sacral spondylolisthesis were surgically treated, from June 1998 to June 1999, with the SOCON SRI system, a device dedicated for dynamic lumbar fixation. Efficacy of the instrumentation was evaluated comparing pre and post-operative x-Rays and MRI scans. In all cases good results were obtained in terms of symptoms recovery and realignment of the spine. No failure of fusion or instrument-related complication occurred. In this report we describe the clinical and anatomical bases for spondylolisthesis surgical treatment in the light of the more recent literature in this field and results obtained from our group.

Abstract
Twelve adult patients with high grade lumbar and lumbo-sacral spondylolisthesis were surgically treated, from June 1998 to June 1999, with the SOCON SRI system, a device dedicated for dynamic lumbar fixation. Efficacy of the instrumentation was evaluated comparing pre and post-operative x-Rays and MRI scans. In all cases good results were obtained in terms of symptoms recovery and realignment of the spine. No failure of fusion or instrument-related complication occurred. In this report we describe the clinical and anatomical bases for spondylolisthesis surgical treatment in the light of the more recent literature in this field and results obtained from our group.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
