Objectives: A case of low dysplastic developmental spondylolisthesis which quickly progressed in adulthood because of unique tumor infiltration is described. Methods: A clinical and radiographic interpretation of the reported case is presented. Results: Sudden progression of a low dysplastic spondylolisthesis at L5-S1 occurred in adulthood by metastatic infiltration of the L5 vertebral body, left pedide and inferior joint facet. Conclusion: The reported case adds to the literature on spondylolisthesis by describing another etiology for this conclusion. The progression of a spondylolisthesis because of tumor infiltration may well be identified more frequently in the future given the high prevalence of vertebral metastases in the overall population.
