The main aim of this essay is therefore to focus, ina synthetic way, some features, which could show the change and transformation of thisfigure, which seems to be so different from previous generations.

Il padre, da sempre figura chiave della scena famigliare e sociale, vive oggi una stagione di grandi cambiamenti e trasformazioni cui si accompagna, come sempre avviene inquesti momenti, una inevitabile messa in crisi dell’identità, della funzione e del ruoloeducativo che gli è proprio. Sembra interessante, a tal proposito, cercare di definire icontorni di questa nuova figura, osservandola e descrivendola anche attraverso gli occhidei figli. Il presente contributo si propone pertanto di mettere a fuoco, in modo certamente sintetico, alcune caratteristiche che raccontano il cambiamento e la trasformazione di questa figura, che tanto
