Several researches have focused on association betweenpersonalities and eating disorders, however, only fewstudies have analyzed the gender role. For this reason, thepurpose of this study is to describe the correlation for noclinical adolescent males and females in the associationbetween eating behaviour and personality. 324 male and 267female (age: 17.16±1.03) filled the Italian version of the EPQR,IVE and EDI‐II. These findings confirm the role thatgender can have in relation between personality and eatingdisorder. In fact, neuroticism seems to be relevant in bothgenders while psychoticism has shown more significancecorrelation in male, instead impulsivity has shown morecorrelation in female. The discussion centres on the practicalapplication of this study.
