Tuberculosis is primarily considered a pulmonary disease, but it can infect almost every systemic organ, especially in patients who, earlier in life, had acquired a primary pulmonary tuberculosis infection contained, but not extinguished, by cell-mediated immunity [1]. The clinical manifestations of this disease are often nonspecific and insidious and diagnosis may be delayed for years. We report a case of presumptive diagnosis of lymph node tuberculosis in which an empiric therapy has been lifesaving.

Abstract
Tuberculosis is primarily considered a pulmonary disease, but it can infect almost every systemic organ, especially in patients who, earlier in life, had acquired a primary pulmonary tuberculosis infection contained, but not extinguished, by cell-mediated immunity [1]. The clinical manifestations of this disease are often nonspecific and insidious and diagnosis may be delayed for years. We report a case of presumptive diagnosis of lymph node tuberculosis in which an empiric therapy has been lifesaving.File in questo prodotto:
