A 43-year-old women with primary generalized epilepsy developed any Hhperkinetic-rigid syndrome 6 months after starting monotherapy with sodium valproate (VPA: 500 gr/td). Unified Parkinson disease rating scale motor examination (UPDRS-ME) and movement time (MT), but no Webster scale (WS) were useful to evaluate this parkinsonism. Acute test with oral L-Dopa gave negative results. Improvement was obtained 45 days after withdrawal of VPA.
