SE may occur in the setting of several internal or neurologic diseases. We herein report 2 patients with systemic ANCA-associated vasculitis in which SE represented one of the main clinical manifestations. If systemic vasculitis is not promptly diagnosed and treated, it may lead to severe morbidity or death.
