An 'in vivo' study was carried out in rats to evalutate the pharmacological activity and gastric tolerability of the 4-biphenylacetic acid (BFA) included in natural and modified cyclodextrins (Cds). A better bioavailability of orally administered drug is observed following inclusion, particularly in the presence of dimethylated cyclodextrin (DM-b-CD). A 50% reduction of the number of gastric lesions was observed with DM-b-CD at the highest administered dose with respect to free BFA.

Abstract
An 'in vivo' study was carried out in rats to evalutate the pharmacological activity and gastric tolerability of the 4-biphenylacetic acid (BFA) included in natural and modified cyclodextrins (Cds). A better bioavailability of orally administered drug is observed following inclusion, particularly in the presence of dimethylated cyclodextrin (DM-b-CD). A 50% reduction of the number of gastric lesions was observed with DM-b-CD at the highest administered dose with respect to free BFA.File in questo prodotto:
