Jung’s visions, illustrated in the Red Book, allow us to undertake a surreal journey inside the collective unconscious. The purpose of this essay is to analyse some graphic reproductions of his mythical visions, to show how in him all the traditional myths are never merely replicated in their original form, but are primarily revived with new folds and renewed clothes, and most importantly – in this re-vision – re-used in the service of mythical original moments, of real artistic reinventions.

Abstract
Jung’s visions, illustrated in the Red Book, allow us to undertake a surreal journey inside the collective unconscious. The purpose of this essay is to analyse some graphic reproductions of his mythical visions, to show how in him all the traditional myths are never merely replicated in their original form, but are primarily revived with new folds and renewed clothes, and most importantly – in this re-vision – re-used in the service of mythical original moments, of real artistic reinventions.File in questo prodotto:
