In Holmes opinion understanding what law is entaisl looking at it troughhout the bad man perspective, which cares only for the material consequences which legal knowledge enables him to predict. Conversely, Hart presents the puzzled or ignorant man model: a man who is willing to do what is legally required if only he can be told what it actually is. Nevertheless, puzzled and bad perspective both require a full cognitive access to legal information in order to get predictions or knowing how to settle one’s affairs. Traditionally citizens depend on legal professionals for getting such cognitive access to law. However, the outstanding AI development in the field of law, and the recent spread of chatbot systems offering a quick, affordable and cheap access to legal information, is truly impacting the legal practice phenomenology, calling for a deep rethink of it. The article focuses on such new access-to-legal information intelligents instruments, aiming at stressing debatable critical issues.
